It’s no secret that I love Halloween and all things spooky! The 1993 film, “Hocus Pocus”, was actually one of my favorite movies growing up. A few years back, I even recreated the book as a craft project, and I keep it on display in my piano studio during Halloween time.
Of course the moment that the new film, “Hocus Pocus 2” came out on Disney+, I had to watch it! I was impressed with the young actresses they cast to play the young versions of the Sanderson sisters and loved seeing the scenes from Pioneer Village in Salem. Made me a little homesick for Massachusetts!
I was also excited to hear the James Horner song “Garden of Magic” featured in the newest film. Last year, I actually made a piano arrangement of this song and even played it for our virutal recital!
