Rules & Etiquette

We rent the sanctuary of the church for this very special event. Treat the venue with respect. Do not write on donation envelopes or leave trash in the pews. Please monitor your children at all times.

Being a Great Audience

Family & Friends are welcome to come enjoy the music!

Please keep in mind that all students have worked very hard on their pieces in order to be able to get them performance ready, and some may be a little nervous about being up on stage!

We are here to support and celebrate each and every student musician in a safe learning environment.

A great audience:

• Listens attentively to each performance.
• Does not whisper to neighbors during performances.
• Clap when students names are announced, and when they take a bow at the end of performances
• Stays for the entire performance
• Silences cell phones entirely (this includes vibrate mode)

If your very little ones are being fussy during a performance, please try your best to gracefully step out of the room without disturbing the players.

The following is NOT allowed in the venue during the recital

• candy
• gum
• video games
• toys of any kind
