The great thing about music lessons in the 21st century is that you can take them from ANYWHERE!
I am now offering a limited amount of private online piano lessons for new students.

a tablet, phone, or computer with a webcam (make sure your device is charged!)
a pencil and a notebook
a stable internet connection
a “can do” attitude!
What ages can take online piano lessons?
Ages 4+ are welcome to take online piano lessons. For the younger children, I do request that a parent is present at all times as a “helper.”
Policies for Online Lessons
All students and parents agree to adhere to our studio policies. These policies are strictly enforced in order to give the best lesson experience possible. There are absolutely no exceptions.
Timely Payment
Payment reserves a specific, consistent timeslot in your teacher's schedule. Payment is due in full, in advance in order to reserve your appointment. We accept check, cash, or credit card. Credit card payment must be made via our online billing system. Payment is due on/before the 25th of each month, for the following month. If your payment is late, there is a late fee.
We do not accept Venmo or e-checks through PayPal.
NO Refunds, Credits, or Prorating
We do not offer refunds or credits on missed lessons.
Student Attendance
We recognize that the pandemic poses scheduling challenges to many families and have relaxed our student attendance policy accordingly.
Makeup lessons will be available for lessons that are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
If you decide that you must miss your lesson on the day of your appointment, unless the student is ill or there is an absolute emergency, that lesson will be forfeited without a makeup lesson.
Students who forget their lesson appointment or are not prepared will not be provided a makeup lesson.
Missed Lessons by the Teacher
If your teacher is sick or has a conflict with a scheduled lesson, you will be offered appropriate options to make up for the missed lesson. These are not subject to the limits of the makeup lesson allowance.
Taking time off
If you plan to take time off from lessons, your space will be given to someone on the wait list.
Holidays
Holidays and school vacations have been factored into ALL payment schedules. There are no lessons scheduled and will be no makeup lessons scheduled for the following upcoming dates in 2020:
Memorial Day: May 25
Summer Break: June 29-July 4
Tax Deductions
Piano Lessons and classes are not considered childcare and therefore are not eligible for tax deductions.
Discontinuing Lessons
In order to discontinue monthly lessons, 30 day notice must be provided.
Lesson Environment
Please make every attempt to keep your home as quiet as possible during your online piano lesson. This means taking family discussions to other rooms, avoiding chopping vegetables or moving furniture around, quieting your pets, etc. This will allow your teacher to hear the student.
Conduct
Parents agree to be silent observers in order to facilitate a functional learning environment.
The teacher reserves the right to end the lesson (with no makeup lesson or refund) if a student or parent is acting inappropriately or disrespectfully.
ABOUT THE PIANO TEACHER
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Chapman University (’05). I have been teaching piano, violin, viola, music theory & composition since 2003 in Southern California.
I live in Long Beach, CA with my two rescue dogs, Buddy & Bebe!
It is my immense honor to guide students (& their parents!) through every step of the musical journey. As a creative piano teacher with a music degree and years of experience, I bring a fresh and patient approach to your piano lessons. Many of my pupils have gone on to be active in the performing arts departments at their schools, win awards, and study music in college.
